Valet Signs in Bike LanesLast Saturday I clipped a valet sign that was placed squarely in the middle of a bike lane just south of Devon on Milwaukee. Are you irritated by valet signs in bike lanes? So am I. Anything that blocks a bike lane is a risk to cyclists. Signs in bike lanes force cyclists out into the traffic lane. Such things also pose a clear collision hazard. One wouldn't think of placing a valet sign in the middle of a car traffic lane - why would it be OK to put it in a bike lane? Call 311 to report signs placed in bike lanes. If you are injured as a result of a sign in a bike lane call a lawyer.  |
